Sometimes connective tissue needs a little extra support – and that’s exactly what our Horsetail Ointment provides! Made from wild-grown horsetail (Equisetum arvense), also known as field horsetail, this pure herbal salve offers natural care for skin and connective tissue. Already recommended by Sebastian Kneipp for external use, horsetail has been shown in a scientific pilot study (International Journal of Cosmetic Science 1998, vol. 20: 223–33) to have a firming effect on the skin.
The nourishing formula with olive oil, cocoa butter, and beeswax provides deep hydration, leaving the skin soft and supple. Simply massage gently onto the stomach, thighs, or upper arms – for a revitalized and cared-for skin feeling. Horsetail is also one of the active ingredients in our popular Anti-Wrinkle Cream.

Production information:
To prepare the horsetail extract and tincture, the herb is handpicked at midday sunshine and air-dried for two days. It is then extracted for six weeks in olive oil and 38% grain alcohol. The oil infusion is combined with 9.5% beeswax and 20% cocoa butter, gently melted, and during the cooling phase, 10 ml horsetail tincture per kilogram of ointment is added. The finished ointment is filled into protective 50 ml glass jars.
Wild-grown: The yarrow used for this ointment grows wild. Wild plants contain more active ingredients than cultivated ones because they adapt to changing environmental conditions.
